Terms & Conditions of Sale –

These Terms & Conditions apply to all sales made by Alkaar (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the supply, delivery, and installation of our custom-built outdoor pods within the United Kingdom.
By placing an order with Alkaar, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Products All Alkaar pods are custom-made to order and built to customer specifications. As our products are handcrafted using natural timber, slight variations in colour, grain, texture, and appearance may occur. These are natural characteristics of wood and are not considered defects.
2. Orders An order is confirmed only when: We have accepted your order in writing (email, message, or invoice), and Full payment has been received. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order before production begins.
3. Payment Full payment is required upfront before production begins. Production, scheduling, delivery, and installation will not commence until cleared funds have been received. Accepted payment methods will be provided at the time of ordering.
4. Cancellations Customers have a 48-hour cancellation period from the time of placing an order. Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to info@alkaar.co.uk.After the 48-hour cancellation period has passed, orders become non-refundable, as materials may have been ordered and production scheduled. Because all pods are custom-made, cancellation rights are limited once production begins.
5. Delivery & Installation Alkaar provides delivery and installation within the United Kingdom only. Delivery and installation dates are estimates and may change due to:
Weather conditions
Material delays
Transport issues
Circumstances beyond our control
We will always communicate delays as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Customer Responsibilities Customers are responsible for ensuring:
Safe and suitable site access for delivery and installation
Adequate access width, height, and clearance
The installation area is level and properly prepared
Any required permissions or approvals are obtained before installation If installation cannot proceed due to unsuitable access or site conditions, additional charges may apply. Alkaar is not responsible for delays or costs caused by site access issues outside our control.
7. Planning Permission It is the customer’s sole responsibility to determine whether planning permission, building regulation approval, or any other permissions are required for the installation of a pod. Alkaar accepts no responsibility for obtaining such permissions and cannot be held liable for enforcement action, delays, or costs resulting from failure to obtain them.
8. Extras, Utilities & Third-Party Installations Unless specifically agreed in writing, Alkaar supplies and installs the pod structure only. Any additional items or services, including but not limited to:
Electrical installation
Lighting
Heating systems
Plumbing
Hot tubs
Water connections
Drainage
Internet or communication systems are not supplied by Alkaar and remain the sole responsibility of the customer and/or their chosen third-party contractors .Alkaar accepts no liability for the supply, installation, safety, maintenance, or performance of third-party extras or utilities.
Furthermore, Alkaar shall not be liable for any damage, defects, structural issues, movement, water ingress, or losses caused directly or indirectly by extras, modifications, or third-party additions installed before or after delivery, including but not limited to hot tubs, electrical systems, plumbing, heating, or any other additional features not supplied and installed by Alkaar.
9. Natural Materials Our pods are built using timber sourced from local independent suppliers. As timber is a natural product, the following may occur over time:
Minor splitting or cracking Expansion and contraction, Knot movement, Colour fading or weathering These are natural characteristics and do not affect structural integrity. They are not considered manufacturing faults.10. Guarantee All Alkaar pods come with a 12-month guarantee from the date of installation. This guarantee covers defects caused by:
Faulty workmanship
Manufacturing defects
Material failure under normal use This guarantee does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Cosmetic weathering
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or modifications
Damage caused by storms, flooding, fire, or other extreme events
Lack of maintenance
Damage caused by third-party extras or utilities
Where a valid claim is accepted, Alkaar reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to repair or replace the affected product or component. A replacement is not automatically offered and remains entirely at our discretion.
11. Ownership & Risk Ownership of goods remains with Alkaar until payment has been received in full. Risk transfers to the customer upon successful delivery and installation.
12. Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alkaar shall not be liable for: Indirect losses Consequential losses Loss of business or revenue Delays outside our reasonable control Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is unlawful under UK law.
13. Sustainability As a family-run business, we aim to minimise waste wherever possible. Where suitable, unused materials or products may be donated to local charities and schools to support our community and reduce waste.
14. Photography & Marketing Alkaar reserves the right to photograph and/or record completed installations for portfolio, marketing, advertising, website, and social media purposes. These images or videos will be used solely to showcase our products and workmanship. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid including identifying personal information, private property details, or individuals without permission. If a customer does not wish for photographs or videos of their installation to be used for marketing purposes, they must notify Alkaar in writing before or at the time of installation.
15. Governing Law These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
